Poets Corner

Named for its literary street names, Poets Corner is filled with roads like Tennyson Road, Longfellow Road, and Whittier Road. Located just north of Route 9 and south of Walnut Street, it's a convenient spot for anyone commuting via the Mass Pike or Route 95/128.

The neighborhood is known for tree-lined streets and homes built primarily in the 1920s and 1930s, most mid to large in size with four or five bedrooms. Architecture varies from house to house, giving the streets a lived-in, established character that's hard to replicate with newer construction. Mature trees canopy many blocks, and front yards have real room to breathe.

Poets Corner is zoned for Wellesley's Schofield elementary school, and the school sits IN the neighborhood, you'll see families walking with their children to and from school. What sets it apart from some of Wellesley's other top neighborhoods is its sense of community. Neighbors know each other here, and it's common to see kids playing outside and people stopping to chat on the sidewalk. The annual progressive dinner is a long standing tradition. Homes in the neighborhood range from just under $2M, to over $4M. 

Good fit for: families looking for a true neighborhood feel, with a neighborhood elementary school, nearby playgrounds, quiet cul-de-sacs, and a strong sense of community. Poet’s Corner offers easy access to Lower Falls, Route 9, the Mass Pike, and the Farms commuter rail station, making it a particularly convenient spot for families who want both connection and accessibility.
